Architect’s Personal Stuff

Due to an overzealous attempt to do a double crossing of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing (North Island, New Zealand), a knee injury and subsequent unwellness (glandular fever, grrr!), the chief architect behind this website was was holed up for part of some time dreaming about new sporting related websites us, and jealously eyeing friends doing the winter offroad events…  perhaps a double crossing was not such a good an idea on the back of an ascent of Mt Egmont?

Fortunately time heals all, and now a double crossing of the grand canyon in 2011 is on the cards…   below is a shot of me in what must be the only shade in the entire canyon last time (last time it was a single crossing).  Yes, I am covered in gadgets, gps, hrm, mp3 (no ipod back then!) etc. It doing a double crossing in 2011 sounds like fun to you, then feel free to drop me an email, I expect there will be 4 or 5 people keen to give it a shot, and having more feet makes it easier to stomp on the scorpions!
